Friends:

Entering the Stream Supreme assures Enlightenment in 7 lives!

Once in Savatthi, the Blessed Buddha said this:

When, householders, the Noble Disciple possess these seven good qualities:
 

Not Killing...!!!
Not Stealing...!!!
Not Abusing...!!!
Not Deceiving...!!!
Not Splitting...!!!
Not Scolding...!!!
Not Gossiping...!!!
 

and the Noble Disciple moreover is established in these four desirable states:

Unwavering faith and confirmed confidence in the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha  and the Morality esteemed by the Noble ones: Unbroken, untorn, unspotted, unmottled, freeing, praised by the clever, natural, leading to concentration, then if he wishes he can announce of himself: I am one finished with Hell, finished with the animal realm, finished with the domain of ghosts, finished with the planes of misery, finished with all bad destinations & lower worlds.

I am a Stream-Enterer, no longer bound to the lower worlds, fixed in destiny, with Enlightenment as my assured future destination...

When this was said, then the householders of the Bamboo Gate village exclaimed:  Magnificent, Master Gotama!... Marvellous, Master Gotama!... We hereby take refuge in the Master Gotama, his Dhamma, & in the Bhikkhu Sangha. From today let the Blessed One know us as lay followers who have gone for refuge for life!
